Little Cayman 2000 - Trip Report

June 23rd to June 30th

"E-mail is wonderful when everybody is on it. I sent last minute reminders to all, the day before the trip, and checked my E-mail at 8:30 am day of trip, departure at 10:30 am Friday. Lo and behold there was an e-mail from Linda C thanking me and saying... "I'll see you Saturday". I thought she must be kidding! I called right away and got her answering machine! Fortunately she was just out on her walk ... and no ... she wasn't kidding when she returned my call at 9 am AND she hadn't packed! Can you believe she was the first one here? Nobody's going to leave that one behind!

Martin C forgot his contact lens case so put them in 2 water glasses with solution. You guessed it! Bob/Sean H drank one of them! Martin was too much in love to notice. Nice place to meet a nice girl, huh Martin? How did Kathi M survive without Steve? Very well, thank you. Karen K was our renown artist to make an eel out of driftwood found by Bill C and it was hung by Bill and Bob M in a prestigious place at the bar with UnderSea Adventurers painted on it. Bob M had the best happy hour snacks Karen and Annie K had the best and most tropical dresses What fashion plates! And the topper on the last night was when our ilustrious leader, Dianne decided to have happy hour on the 2nd floor. While carrying 2 chairs up there the top step.. got the chair leg caught, and bumped down on her head and back, all 15 steps! The egg on the head was only the size of an orange. Nothing broken (that's the good part about being young!) Having already had a couple drinks probably helped!

The Dive Resort was very luxurious. Most people there were repeat divers. The food was wonderful and plenty of it. The rooms were big. The diving was the best some of us had ever seen, the dive masters the best. We ALL want to go back next year.
